About the Spine Center

The spine surgeons at Mischer Neuroscience Institute are selected based on their quality experience and dedication to patient care. In total, they have done over 2,000 cases on disease conditions ranging from degenerative spine to complex deformity and tumors. They are academically accomplished, contributing hundreds of articles and books and presenting in conferences all over the globe.

In addition to caring for patients with degenerative spine disease and those requiring elective spine surgery, our clinicians provide exceptional care for patients with traumatic spine injury, through our affiliation with Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center's Level I trauma center, the Texas Trauma Institute.

Outcomes

Outcomes at the Spine Center are superior and reflect our commitment to patient safety and quality care. Based on benchmark data, the Spine Center’s inpatient mortality for spine trauma, degenerative spine disease and elective spine surgery has been consistently lower than expected since 2007.*
