Chiari Malformation

Chiari 1 Malformation (CM) is a neurological disorder in which the cerebellum – the part of the brain that controls balance – descends out of the skull into the spinal area.

In the presentation, Dr. Dong Kim – the Chief of Neurosurgery at Mischer Neuroscience Institute – discusses the symptoms and diagnosis of chiari malformation, along with how it often imitates other neurological disorders. He also presents detailed information on advanced surgical treatment options and how these procedures can improve a patient's quality of life.
