He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, a fellowship in medical oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and additional training in pathology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
In practice since 1985, Dr. Popatia is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He specializes in medical oncology, internal medicine, hematology and oncology. He speaks Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu.
