other accountable to deliver care in a manner that is consistent with
current scientific evidence and best practices reporting quality
performance and participating in performance feedback in order to
achieve and maintain excellence in the practice of medicine.
McGovern Medical School at UTHealth
The University of Texas Medical School at Houston has been blazing a course of excellence since it was established by the Texas Legislature on June 13, 1969. Three considerations led to the organization of the school: local, regional, and national shortages of physicians; the extraordinary, but until then underutilized, resources for medical education in Houston and the Texas Medical Center; and the large number of well-qualified candidates seeking entry to medical school.
