What is an EROS Scan?

An Event-Related Optical Signal (EROS) scan uses infrared light to measure changes in an area of the brain known as the cerebral cortex. EROS scans are uniquely helpful in their ability to detect timing of activity within different areas of the brain because their high temporal (within milliseconds) resolution.
